Meet the teacher!

We are looking forward to seeing you at school from 4.30pm today for our annual meet-the-teacher get together.

You can have a night off making dinner and get some food here - or bring your own picnic. We will have our staff run sausage sizzle & bacon buttie BBQ ($2 per sausage or $4 for a bacon buttie), Tow Bar Burgers), PIta Pitt and Lil Orbits with their donuts and slushies as well as an all-important coffee cart. Plenty of variety for everyone. Food will be available from 4.30pm until 6.45ish.

We will have live music to entertain you while you mix and mingle with staff and families between 4.30pm and 5.45pm.

Following the welcome and introdution from Jared, we will begin our sessions in the Learning Communities - where you can meet the teaching teams as they share information about their programmes for 2020.

The learning community sessions will be 15 minutes long – with a bell at the start and end of each session and 5 minutes between each so you will have time to get to another if you wish - they will start on time, so please be mindful of this if you arrive after the session has begun.

Keeping your kids entertained can be hard when you want to be in listening to the teachers, so we have arranged for David Ladderman to entertain them! His specialties include juggling, equilibristics and stage illusion. His performance will be from 6 until 6.45. There will still be staff roaming outside too, however your kids are still your responsibility, so please be mindful of where they are.

Here is a brief agenda for the evening:

4.30 - Radio station music 4.45 - Josh Keating 5.15pm - Kapahaka 5.30pm - Jared welcome speech 5.45pm - Juniors 6.05pm - Middles 6.25pm - Seniors 6.45pm - Intermediates 7.00pm - event ends

We really want to make this a relaxed school community event, so come along and eat some food, chat with whānau and staff and be informed of the awesome learning ahead for your children. We look forward to seeing you later!!
